Born and raised in Hong Kong, Astrid obtained a BA(Hons) in Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. However working as an art teacher inspired a love of teaching, so Astrid went to the United Kingdom and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education before returning to Hong Kong.
Astrid has over ten years work experience in both the UK and Hong Kong and has worked with children from 3 months to 12 years. For the past five years Astrid has been working with the English Schools Foundation (ESF) focusing on the early years in both the Kindergartens and lower primary. This has provided a strong basis as an early years educator in the Hong Kong environment. Astrid is a strong supporter of child centred learning and believes that interactive and play based education stimulates and inspires children to learn and grow. |
